VOLUNTEERS AND STUDENTS

Thank you for your interest in our organization. We are currently seeking both medical and non-medical volunteers for our Perris location.​ If you are a student, please click here.

Volunteer Requirements:
​
All volunteers must:
​
Plan to spend at least 6 continuous months with the organization.
Serve 20 hours completing assigned tasks before being trained and on-boarded for a specific position. Tasks are usually front office tasks that include filing, data entry, etc. This requirement may be waived for certain medical volunteers only.
Attend volunteer training event
Submit to and pass a background check prior to training paid by volunteer ($12.95 unless volunteer can provide recent background check within the last 6 months).
Sign a confidentiality agreement
Sign a social media agreement
Complete Infection Prevention Training
Complete workplace safety training
Submit proof of HIPAA compliance training
Submit proof of harassment training
Complete Electronic Health Records training

Medical Volunteers:
​
In addition to the requirements above, all medical volunteers will:
​
Submit proof of current and unencumbered CA license to practice in the area for which you are applying
Submit current BLS card
Submit proof of current immunizations: TB, DPT, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and Influenza
Submit proof of current liability insurance

All volunteers must complete these annually or before expiration date:

TB test
Proof of liability insurance/malpractice insurance
Quality assurance training

Discontinuation of Service
​
The agreement between the nonprofit and the volunteer can be severed at any time by either party. Volunteers are encouraged to give four weeks notice of planned departure to give us time to advertise the position.
Volunteers will be relieved of their duties for repeated behaviors that put oneself, the patient or the organization in jeopardy.

Letters of Recommendation
​
LORs will be provided only to volunteers who have fulfilled their planned hours.
